1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the services provided by Solar Scout ("we," "us," or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Solar Scout is a lead generation platform that uses artificial intelligence to identify and score potential solar panel installation leads from publicly available social media posts. The Service includes:

  • Automated scanning of public social media posts
  • AI-powered lead scoring and qualification
  • Email notifications and daily digests
  • Keyword and location-based filtering
  • Dashboard for lead management

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into this agreement. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • One account per person or business entity

5. Subscription & Payment

5.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required during the trial period. After the trial, you must subscribe to continue using the Service.

5.2 Paid Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • Prices are listed on our pricing page and subject to change with 30 days notice
  • All payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscriptions

5.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all subscriptions. For full details, please see our Refund Policy.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for unused portions of the billing period.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Violate or infringe upon the rights of others
  • Harass, spam, or send unsolicited communications to leads
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute lead data to third parties
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated tools to access the Service beyond its intended use
  • Overload or interfere with the Service infrastructure
  • Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
  • Use the Service to compete with us or build a similar product

7. Data & Lead Usage

7.1 Lead Data

  • Leads are collected from publicly available sources only
  • You are responsible for how you contact and interact with leads
  • You must comply with anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
  • You may not sell, rent, or share lead data with third parties
  • Lead data is provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy or quality

7.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of your keywords, preferences, and account settings. We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and service improvement.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Solar Scout and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.

9. Service Availability & Modifications

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
  • Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice

10. Disclaimers & Limitations

10.1 No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SOLAR SCOUT DOES NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Accuracy, quality, or completeness of lead data
  • That leads will convert into customers
  • Specific results or revenue generation
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Compatibility with all devices or browsers

10.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLAR SCOUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages exceeding the amount you paid in the last 12 months

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Solar Scout from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the Service or lead data
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
  • Any content or information you submit to the Service

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may cancel your account at any time through your dashboard settings.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Abuse or misuse the Service

Upon termination, your access will be revoked and your data may be deleted after 30 days.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Reddit, Facebook, Nextdoor, OpenAI, etc.). We are not responsible for their availability, policies, or content. Your use of these platforms is subject to their own terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact us at info@solarscoutai.app to resolve the issue informally.

14.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14.3 Arbitration
